Zoe's Rainbow Review

Hi, my name is Zoe. I'm ten years old and in Ms. Davis's fourth grade FOCUS group. I will be telling you about my favorite book; Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn. It's about the best book you'll ever read!!! It's about a thirteen year old girl named Ali, who finds an old photo of her mom, aunt, and who else???

is Claire, Dulcie, and T. Who is T? She's very determined to find out. When her aunt comes over, she is invited to babysit at Sycamore Lake.

Then, she meets Sissy, who can't wait to ruin her Summer. If Ali isn't careful it's probable that she and the girl she babysits have a good chance of dying. My favorite part was right after Ali ran away, her aunt asked where Emma was. Ali didn't know!!! But Ali is absolutely sure she is with Sissy. So, she runs to the lake and is not surprised to Sissy and Emma about to head out in a canoe over the lake.

It's very hard to make them out because it's very dark and foggy. As Ali gets closer she understands that Sissy is bribing her with a doll that she really wants. But Emma decides to refuse to come home with Ali. So Ali goes out with them. But when they get out there, they don't know which way is back!!! So Sissy takes the opportunity to drop the doll in the water and Emma jumps in the water and sinks!!! Then Ali jumps in after!!! Sissy has already disappeared!!! So Ali and Emma just wait for help... This is definitely the best scary book you will ever read!!!
