Parent Workshops

Free childcare is available at Parent Workshops for children who are potty trained and older.

Those interested in attending a workshop should RSVP to 678-639-3884, via email to Kathy Jackson, or via website (see links below).
Please include the name of the workshop, your name,
total number of adults attending, and total number of children needing childcare.
You will be reminded of all upcoming workshops by phone, school website, and email (if available).

All parent workshops and meetings will take place in Britt's Cafeteria unless otherwise noted.

Introduction to Writing
Graphic organizers can help your child focus on a topic, get their ideas organized, and add details to their writing. Learn the importance of allowing your child to use inventive spelling and rereading to make sure the writing “sounds right.”
Drafting and editing will be addressed. Two workshops will occur (K-2) and (3-5) at the same time.

Mini-Math Institute at South Gwinnett High School
Select parents and students in grades K - 12 are invited to attend the second annual Mini-Math Institute, a staff development for teachers. Students will participate in math lessons taught by some of the finest math instructors in the cluster. Parents will also participate in math sessions led by the Parent Coordinators from the Title I schools in the South Gwinnett Cluster.

KinderCamp: Camp Comet
KinderCamp is a FREE program for students that will be attending Britt in the fall as kindergarteners. It is designed to make your child’s transition to Kindergarten comfortable, while students become familiar with the Kindergarten teachers and routine.
